BlauwHout Geel – trio improvisations

There is a vast and variegated area between free improvisation and jazz. This intermediate terrain can be serrated, rough, strident, full of unpredictable sonic outbursts and spells of silence. It may be smooth, quietly undulating, flowing out in all directions. It may be an alchemical admixture of these. Bassist Jurriaan Dekker, pianist Bart van Dongen and drummer Eric van de Lest have  an alchemy of meandering metamorphoses, in continuous associative improvisations.
