The musicians regularly huddle together to practice improvising as a trio.
The idea behind it is that improvisations sound like compositions but are not. It is played from equality, there is no soloist. Each member can take the initiative, listen and/or react.
Jurriaan Dekker – double bass
Bart van Dongen – piano
Eric van de Lest – drums
In 2019 is er de dubbel-cd BlauwHout Geel uitgebracht. Later dit jaar komt een nieuwe uitgave van het trio uit.
Rinus van der Heijden (JazzNu) – Bart van Dongen toont kracht in triovorm en solo.
